The football season 2020/21 was declared terminated by the Malta Football Association on April 9 after the publication of L.N. 93 of 2021, by the Minister responsible for public health, after consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health, which first prohibited all sports activities until April 11 and then the publication of L.N. 145 of 2021 which made this ban indefinite.
